Wild the Coyote is the new dark voice of outlaw music, forging his own lane with a gritty and roaring sound, rooted in blues and rock n roll. Coyote has a thrilling and unique style that truly makes him one of a kind. His music is pushing the boundaries of country music with bursts of punk and pop in a way that’s all his own. Wild the Coyote captivates listeners with his cinematic storytelling, catchy hooks, and electrifying performances.

From growing up in a small farm town on California’s central coast to exploring big city living in Los Angeles, Coyote would try and find his way in the music industry by forming the punk-rock band, Gunpowder Secrets upon moving to Hollywood in 2007.  The band would find notable success along the way as a local L.A. act, but not enough to make dreams come true. In 2013, Coyote stepped away from the band to pursue a more personal endeavor and found his new sound and voice as a modern outlaw-country artist. Tapping into his small town roots, rough punk style, and replacing live drums with electronic beats, he was able to discover exactly how he wanted to create, write and deliver his fresh take on traditional music. Wild the Coyote is a captivating musician with invigorating rhythm and a dark, poetic lyrical style. I paint a picture like tales from the Wild West told by a very weathered and lonely soul,” he explains. I put a dark twist on my lyrics to take them as far as I can in order to give someone chills”

Wild the Coyote’s music can be found on stages and screens worldwide, most recently featured in Paramount Pictures' hit series, Yellowstone and praised in Rolling Stone. Over the last few years, Coyote has spent significant time on the road, playing stages all over the country.  From the Harley Davidson museum in Milwaukee to the SlumFest music festival in Nashville, it is apparent that Coyote is building his audience far and wide. In the fall of 2019, Coyote landed as the opening act for Interscope Records recording artist Yelawolf, on his North American GhettoCowboy Tour, taking them throughout the US and Canada.  With two EPs already under his belt, Coyote is gearing up to release his latest EP, 7 Roses, featuring the lead single Silver Round Bullet.”  Visit WildTheCoyote.com to stay up to date with his upcoming music and tour dates.

Alt Country-Rock Artist Drops New Record and Video Inspired by His Hometown

Los Angeles, CA --   Hollywood’s favorite outlaw, Wild the Coyote, just released his latest country-rock EP, 7 Roses. The EP offers a personal look into Coyote’s complex relationship with his hometown and the emotional process of leaving the past behind him. “7 Roses is for the 7 days when I wrote 7 stories about the emotions that carried me from childhood to manhood, which I can now lay to rest,” he explains. 7 Roses is now available for listening on streaming platforms worldwide.

Last spring, Wild the Coyote escaped from Los Angeles to visit his recently widowed mom in the small farm town that he grew up in. “When I got there, it dawned on me to escape even further and write an album, alone in the country, in significant places that I would go to as a kid to get lost. I told myself I wouldn’t go back to Los Angeles until I wrote every song,” he explains his writing process for the EP. “Only 7 days went by before I was headed back with an album written, eagerly booking studio time as I drove into LA. I wrote about my relationship with the boy I used to be, the town I grew up in, and how I’ve held on to him all these years, now as a man chasing a dream in the big city.”

The first track on the EP, “Lately That’s What I Do,” provides a perfect introduction to the whirlwind of emotions expressed throughout the EP. “Lately That’s What I Do” ensnares listeners with its thumping beat and driving bassline as Wild the Coyote sings the melancholic lyrics, “never wanted to let you down, but lately that’s what I do.” The 7-song collection also includes previously released singles, “Silver Round Bullet” and “Under The Weather.” A video for “Under The Weather,” directed by Bryant Hyun, is being released alongside the new EP. 7 Roses draws to a close with “Thank You, Goodbye.” For the final track, Wild the Coyote slows down to process the onslaught of intense emotions and expresses gratitude for all that he has learned before finally saying goodbye to his hometown. The EP documents Wild the Coyote’s struggles of why he left his hometown to move to Los Angeles in the first place and why he has no intention of going back. To complete 7 Roses, Coyote recruited producer Joseph Holiday and guitarist Tito Woods who added another element to the songs and stories that made them that much more powerful and dynamic.

Wild the Coyote moved to Los Angeles from a small farm town on the central coast of California. He started his LA music career after forming the punk-rock band Gunpowder Secrets. After moderate success as a local band, Coyote stepped away from Gunpowder Secrets to pursue his dreams as a solo artist. With a sound reminiscent of Johnny Cash, Wild the Coyote combined his country roots with a punk-rock vibe to create his modern-day outlaw persona. He has opened for Yelawolf on his North American GhettoCowboy tour and played at venues across the country, including the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee and the Slumfest music festival in Nashville. Coyote’s music has received praise from Rolling Stone, Worlds of Country, and has been featured in the hit series, Yellowstone and Mayor of Kingstown.

7 Roses is now available to stream or download on digital music platforms worldwide. Watch the music video for “Under The Weather” on YouTube. Keep up with his music and upcoming tour dates by visiting WildtheCoyote.com.

Wild The Coyote Releases Rugged New Single, “Under The Weather”

Los Angeles, CA -- Wild the Coyote has released his newest single, “Under The Weather,” from his upcoming EP, 7 Roses. The EP’s second song revives the heavy and powerful experience that Coyote brings to the country music world. “Under The Weather” is available now to stream and download on all streaming platforms worldwide.

“Under The Weather” pairs strong guitars and emphatic vocals to create a unique sound only Wild the Coyote can deliver. The western, outlaw-country track adds rock, alternative, and blues elements to give the record its distinctive edge. Produced by Joseph Holiday and engineered by Tito Woods, the song covers a harrowing topic that shook Wild the Coyote to the core. “Under The Weather” follows the story of a man trying his best to keep it together for his family, but can’t shake the troubles of drugs and alcohol that are tearing his family apart. "I had never been inspired to write a song the way that I was with ‘Under the Weather,’ and in a way, I’m not too proud of that,” says Coyote. Listeners can feel the emotion radiating from the lyrics through his powerful storytelling. “With this song, I was at the wrong place at the wrong time and witnessed a devastating argument between family over drugs and alcohol destroying their relationship,” says Coyote. “It was painful to see the destruction those two poisons can have on a relationship, especially when there are kids in the picture. I’ve had my share of troubled run-ins with alcohol, so I went and wrote a song that hurt me to the core.” His ability to bring an immersive story to life through music has led him to create a unique and original listening experience.

Wild the Coyote's music career began shortly after moving to Hollywood in 2013. With the new change of scenery came the formation of his punk rock group, Gunpowder Secrets. His ability to experiment with his own unique sound of outlaw-country has led him to career highlight opportunities such as opening for Yelawolf on his North American GhettoCowboy tour and receiving praise from Rolling Stone. He found even more success by being featured in the hit series Yellowstone and playing at venues across the country, including the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee and the Slumfest music festival in Nashville.

Wild The Coyote Releases Gritty New Single “Silver Round Bullet”

Los Angeles, CA -- The supremely talented Wild the Coyote has now released his newest single, “Silver Round Bullet.” The song is the first from his upcoming EP, 7 Roses. Following his previous releases, this track continues with Coyote’s unique, gritty style and delivers an electrifying listening experience. “Silver Round Bullet” is available now to stream or download on all platforms.

“Silver Round Bullet” is a fantastic reflection of Wild the Coyote’s riveting, original sound. With grungy guitar and vocals melded with rumbling percussion, this track successfully captures the outlaw country style his music listeners have come to expect. Combining iconic aspects of blues, country, and rock, Coyote skillfully makes listeners feel as though they have been teleported to the old west. Produced by Joseph Holiday, the song has a powerful and catchy melody that gives clear insight into why some have drawn comparisons between Wild the Coyote and the great Johnny Cash. With an edgier tone than most modern country music, “Silver Round Bullet” conveys Coyote’s difficulties growing up in Templeton, CA and the struggles he faces even now in Los Angeles. “‘Silver Round Bullet’ was written in the woods of the quiet town I grew up in, about the struggles that come with chasing a dream in LA and the daunting question of how long you can survive doing it. Only to be reminded that there could be more to risk than to reap turning around on the road less traveled,” says Coyote. The blend of his bluesy voice with heavy percussion and a rugged electric guitar melody conveys a raw, rocky vibe that characterizes the song.

From growing up in a small farm town on California’s central coast to exploring big-city living in Los Angeles, Wild the Coyote would try and find his way in the music industry by forming the punk-rock band Gunpowder Secrets upon moving to Hollywood. Continuing to pursue his passion for music, he went on to become Wild the Coyote, where he has flourished as both guitarist and singer. Tapping into his small-town roots, rough punk style, and replacing live drums with electronic beats, he was able to discover exactly how he wanted to create, write and deliver his fresh take on traditional music. Coyote has already developed a distinct sound and garnered success, such as being featured in Paramount Pictures’ hit series, Yellowstone, and receiving praise in Rolling Stone. Wild the Coyote has performed all over North America, from the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee to the SlumFest music festival in Nashville.
