Astralux knew they wanted the track to enliven their fans. “‘Livewire’ is a dance song at heart,” explains vocalist and guitarist Will Schlich. “We wanted to write something that got the crowd moving, but also didn’t stray too far from the sound we’ve been working on. It somehow feels both unique and familiar to us all.” Referencing the sound they’ve been working on, “Livewire” depicts what listeners can anticipate hearing from their debut album coming early next year.
Mixed by Grammy Award winner Jon Kaplan and mastered by Dave McNair (Bruce Springsteen and David Bowie), “Livewire” is the perfect blend of a unique electric sound fused with traditional rock. With a history of making head-bangers, “Livewire” is the follow-up to their hard-hitting and powerful track, “Desert Dream.”
Musical partners and tight-knit group of friends, Astralux began when Will Schlich (vocals and guitar) and Michael Lieberman (drums) met through a mutual ex-girlfriend. Joined by Camille Fadl (bass) and Tai Ayres (guitar) shortly after, the four instantly clicked and began merging their musical talents to create Astralux. Playing iconic Los Angeles-based venues such as The Whisky a Go Go, The Viper Room, and The Mint and a showcase with Breaking Sound, the group has acquired quite the following in the Los Angeles music scene. The band has been featured on Loudwire, Dusty Organ, Outloud Culture, and many more.
