Wes Mason Teams With Kofi Black On New Single “I Want Your Love”

Canadian R&B/Pop Artist Expands His Musical Attributes With Latest Release

Toronto, ON –  Wes Mason released his pop-infused R&B single, “I Want Your Love,” ahead of his album, The Animal Inside. Teaming with Wyclef Jean protege, Kofi Black, Mason challenged himself in creating his own diversified music citing influences such as The Beatles, Travis Scott and Kid Cudi.  “I Want Your Love” is now available to stream or download on all digital platforms worldwide.

With the goal of creating an album that would define his career, Mason recruited “Trillionaire” Earl Powell (Jennifer Hudson, The Jacksons, Keyshia Cole), the LA-based Grammy winning, Billboard charting producer and Toronto-based producer, Ben Pelchat (Boy George, Chrissie Hynde). The production team brought in Kofi Black to do a feature on the track, bringing the song to completion. “I Want Your Love” is an island-inspired, energetic yet sensual single that invites all to join in on the party. “Some songs are close to finished when you bring them into the studio. But some songs happen spontaneously and come to life unexpectedly during a party. This is one of those songs that is simply the result of having a great time with great people in the studio,” describes Mason.

With his love for music growing since he was a child, Wes Mason has always been immersed in the music scene. At the young age of six, he began to take piano lessons and at ten he was introduced to the guitar and drums. Enamored by the guitar, this quickly led to his love of songwriting, producing and performing. He continued to place his energy into growing his music career and quickly found success touring throughout Canada, leading him to winning numerous international music awards.

Wes Mason’s music venture is entering an extraordinary new chapter with the upcoming release of his first full-length album, The Animal Inside.
